That's an amazing stat in the era of free agency. You'd think someone would have done it during the reserve clause days.

Then again, very few people have the talent to play for 17 years, let alone having three of them on your team at the same time.

Yesterday was also the first time the Yankees have had the same three outfielders start in consecutive Opening Days since 1967.....



84 years since the Yankees (1927) started a season with the same three outfielders and same four infielders on consecutive Opening Days untill yesterday.
