I really Hope they dont sign Greinke. They guy has anxiety and cANT pitch in KC. What makes them think he can pitch in New York. Cmon. The guy won a cy young and didnt even want to do a press conference. Ive Heard they are interested in Josh Johnson and King Felix now. Felix makes no sense. He just signed a 4 or 5 yr deal i think and yanks would have to give up Montero Nova Hughes Gardener. I wouldnt even consider. The Marlins may trade Johnson but thats only if they dont trade for Greinke. But Even then Their asking price is going to be high. Especially seeing as The Yanks are DESPERATE. Oh well But i do like the Martin Signing Especially if they are gonna trade or not bring up Montero this yr.

Way down in LA for production last yr, maybe up in NY, but I doubt it, and Posada will just be a DH this year, Martin is the full time catcher but I think he's from Montreal, so he is closer to home.

That is how you respond to getting spurned by Cliff Lee!

I think it's a great "gap" signing

With Jorgie going to DH most of the time and the lack of pop in Cervelli's bat RM is a great fill in until Jesus Montero is ready for the show

So, Russell Martin needs knee surgery? After recovery from a broken hip? And how many games is he gonna catch?

Russell Martin needs knee surgery, but the Yankees signed him anyway | HardballTalk
