Yankees trade for Hinske

Former AL Rookie of the Year Eric Hinske was acquired by the New York Yankees from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday for a pair of minor leaguers.

Pittsburgh will receive right-hander Casey Erickson and outfielder Eric Fryer for the utilityman. In addition, the Pirates will give the Yankees cash.

Anyone else find this line up above (in red) funny?

The Pirates also traded outfielder Nyjer Morgan and reliever Sean Burnett to the Washington Nationals in exchange for outfielder Lastings Milledge and reliever Joel Hanrahan.
so the only team doing worse business than the pirates are the nats...

i dont get this at all...

kind of like the morgan/burnett for hanrahan and milledge
milledge will provide some pop.

i dont think they will sell the team as in yrs past.
With Sean Burnett gone I would be surprised to see Grabow go.

One key is Jack Wilson I know he makes 7.5 million
but, they have no one close to replacing him defensivly that guy bixler
sucks and vazquez does not have the range.

Still thinking this team can finish close to .500 this yr
as long as Grabow, Adam Laroche and jack wilson are with them.

I think this has something to do with the Yankees backing off on Miguel Angel Sano for July 2nd signings
