Most likely Lee won't make start today

Olney reporting Seattle may be using Yankees offer and going to other teams to see if they will match, but he wll most likely be traded today

As much as i would like Lee in a Mets uniform, its going to cost us Thole and a few youngsters and i don't want the Mets to give up Flores either.

This is why I respect NY. They don't even need him but they do whatever to win

Tigers own the Yanks. If they get matched up I dont care who the Yankees use against Verlander or Scherzer...they will lose.

Only problem for the Tigers is the Twins own us so getting to the playoffs is the bigger hurdle for Detroit.

I was truly convinced if we beat Minnesota last season in that 1 game playoff that the Yankees wouldve been knocked out in the 1st round.

Lucky for the Yanks they own the Twins and thats who made it

Yankees dont need Cliff Lee but I feel they think they are better off with him than anyone else. Better question is who gets bounced from the Yankee rotation if this guy becomes a Yankee? Is this a precursor to a Javier Vazquez deal? I cant see them moving any other starter for contractual reasons besides Vazquez.

I think they might be doing this just to block other teams from getting him. I agree they dont need him.

I guess that trade might just wrap it up. I am a Sox fan so I hate seeing the Yankees win anything but Lee on the Yanks should be a deal breaker

I don't get why teams trade teams hopes for next year just because a bad year this year. It's almost if you don't win this year, you have to trade your best players. Ridiculous really
