Young Pitchers
Does anyone else find that this time of the year it's good to fade young pitching, no matter how good they've done up to this point?
Starting to get into days of the year that they've never pitched And inning numbers they've never been close to in minors or college or first year in majors Anyone else use this stategy? Discuss |

Not that simple. Innings and workload matter. Lots of examples of young pitchers making an impact well into October for teams that didn't abuse their arms.
2 I expect to keep shining: Gallardo, Kershaw 2 I think will start to sputter: Josh Johnson, Edwin Jackson |

To stay on topic though Ive noticed starting rookie/young pitchers on the road is suicide but again thats just a guess and nothing I have backed with numbers/stats. PEACE
