shit i forgot about henderson.

good work guy i didnt know if people would take this seriously. im going to try and do something like this couple times a week to break the everyday grind of baseball betting.

i like to see everyones different view on players, great thing is noone is wrong. me and my friends are baseball dorks so we do these discussions all the time.

I'm only going to pick players I've seen for the most part, picking Honus Wagner or Lou Gehrig wouldn't really make sense since all I have are numbers and they are from entirely different eras.

Also assuming all guys I pick are in their prime:

C - Ivan Rodriguez (offense AND defense, no thanks on Piazza)
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Roberto Alomar
SS - Cal Ripken Jr.
3B - Mike Schmidt (passing on A-Rod, guy can't hit a lick in the postseason)
LF - Barry Bonds (when he was winning gold gloves as well as hitting over .320 every year)
CF - Ken Griffey Jr.
RF - Tony Gwynn

Starting Pitcher - Pedro Martinez (when he was at his best, he was unhittable) Greg Maddux an honorable mention. His command was so good it was scary.

Closer - Mariano Rivera

Bench: (5 players)
Alex Rodriguez
Manny Ramirez
Derek Jeter
Chipper Jones
Sammy Sosa (give me one of the 2 seasons when he became first player ever to hit 60+ HRs back to back)
