Harry: I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

Lloyd: I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man.

Have fun at 3rd base the whole time you are here. Tell him to take you to sneaky petes. It is where dreams come true.

Hideo Nomo was pretty good for quite some time and he Japanese. Chan Ho Park pitched like an ACE with the Dodgers. It is always riskier signing any pitcher over a hitter though but Darvish is supposedly the best one to come Stateside. They say the biggest problem why these guys bust after the 1st year is because after that, MLB hitters who are far more advanced than the Japanese hitters , will not chase the trash outside the zone. We shall see.

Personally I would've preferred Wilson since he is a known entity but like Mac mentioned its potential that gets you paid. I disagree about the Texas window being now though, their starters are all super young minus C Lewis.

And Smet you need to get off Kinsler's nuts. That guy might be your best player.

FALSE!!! The man is terrible. I watch him everyday. He is a douche bag like CJ was and he needs to be gone.

Totally disagree about CJ. CJ is not a an ace. He is a very good pitcher and is probably a great #2 guy, but is no ace. What this team is missing is an ace and Darvish gives them that opportunity. CJ will never be an ace, Darvish can be and it is worth the risk if you are Texas.

Yeah we dont disagree. I don't think CJ is an ACE either, just a known entity where Darvish supposedly has a higher ceiling based on potential.

Smet Kinsler is twice 30/30 with a 350 OBP and plays solid defense. Forget the batting avg.

have to agree on Kinsler Smet.......

I was with ya for a long time on how he needed to mature, etc. but last year he made a lot of strides in that department and his defense was excellent.....really thought he had a good shot at a gold glove last year....time to forgive the OLD Ian buddy

loved Darvish in the presser talking about adjusting not only to MLB and Texas but to the new ballpark and "not knowing where JD was on moving the right field fence back" lol

He is a FING lead off hitter who bats below .240. If he was batting 8th, I would be fine with him. I hate him with a passion. I cringe every time he takes one of his upper cut swings and when the ball pops straight up to the catcher, he looks up with his douchey eyes, shruges his shoulders and jogs to first. Can't stand his ass. Put your shoulder down and drive the FING ball to the alley.

I could go on but that i all i have this morning.

Kinsler is the best player on your team. Recently voted a top 30 player in the majors by his peers. The guy can play and who cares what his batting avg is as long as hes creating runs.
