'04-'05 College Hoops Insanity RULES !!!!!!!

Rules for Insanity

This contest will take a lot of effort from you the player, your gonna have to be very active of a daily basis or you will fall behind quickly! but thats why I call it INSANITY BABY !!!!!!!!!

Each day(late night before) the lines will be posted for this contest.

We are going to start Monday, December 6th !!!!

Alright ... follow me here ...

Segment 1 (Dec 6 - Dec 26)

You will pick MAX of 5 teams a night Straight up
You will be graded depending on the line ....

example - Stanford +4 , you take them outright and they win you get 4 pts, if they lose you get 0 pts, so you cannot lose any pts on dogs.

example - Maryland -4 , take them and they win,you get SEE CHART FOR PTS FOR FAV WINNERS if they lose u get -4 pts.

For Segment 1 you MUST make 50 plays to qualify to move onto the next round.

After Segment 1 we will elminate the bottom 30% of scores, if 30% or more made less then 50 plays, all that made 50 plays will advance.

I will only post games with lines of 15 or less. and i have the chart up already for point value on favorites.

Segment 2(Dec 27-Jan 16)

you will pick a MAX of 5 plays a night ATS

each play is 1 unit.

ALL games will be listed for this segment.

min. of 50 plays needed to qualify to advance to next round!!!

it will graded in order of units, not w/l record!!!!

bottom 50% at the end of the segment will be elminated (so if there are 50 people left after seg 1, 25 will be elminated after seg 2)

BONUS --- WHOEVER HAD THE BEST PT TOTAL FOR SEGMENT 1 STARTS SEGMENT 2 WITH a 10-0 +10.00 record!(10 plays DO NOT count towards 50 needed thou)

Segment 3(Jan 17- Feb 6)

Here is where it gets fun!!! This is also where daily checking of the contest is HIGHLY IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ENTIRE segment is a "challenge" !!!!

Each week(tues-sun) you MUST challenge AT LEAST 3 people to a head 2 head matchup, and you can challenge as many as 5 if u like! BUT if 12 people have challenged you, YUP u gotta play them all !!!!!!

Yes, this is going to be totally wild but also VERY VERY fun!!!!

Monday's are challenge days, dont worry all threads will be self explantory for this part and i will give each remaining member there own thread to list where members they want to challenge. then monday night i will set up the game threads! ALSO... if on monday u do not make any challenges you WILL get a 0-3 record! but u can still get wins for if u play in the matches u were challenged too !!!

each tues-sun this is how u will play to see who wins:

MAX of 5 plays a night

1-3 units on each play (NO JUICE ON LOSSES)
NO MORE THAN 3 - 3 UNIT plays a night

MIN 12 plays to qualify for a win

ALL same rules as my NBA contest for this segment!!!!

We will take the top 10 to the next round, by win/loss % in challenges.

BONUS -- WHOEVER HAD THE MOST UNITS IN SEGMENT 2 WILL START THIS SEGMENT WITH A 5-0 100% RECORD

Segment 4(Feb 7-the very last conference championship game)

Final 10 will play in this and this round is simple and just the best capper will take it home.

each player gets a $1000 bankroll to start with

min of 65 plays to qualify for a win in this segment.

MAX 5 plays a night.

MAX wager u can make is: $550 to win $500
MIN wager u can make is: $22 to win $20

ONLY even numbers !!!!! example - $20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100,110 etc etc

Top 2 or 3 (not 100% sure on prizes yet) will bring home the prizes. If more than 8 people get to $0 ... it will go in order of who stayed in longer.

BONUS -- WHOEVER HAD THE BEST W/L % IN SEGMENT 3 WILL START WITH A $1250 BANKROLL!! AND ---- ANYBODY WHO WON ANY OTHER SEGMENT AND IS STILL IN STARTS WITH A $1100 BANKROLL !!!!!!!!

1st - $300 Sportsbook account
2nd - $200 Sportsbook account
3rd - $100 Sportsbook account

All prizes must be matched in value, so if you win $300, must depoist $300 and you will recieve the $300 prize. 5x, 30 day rollover

If there are less than 50 people ... the %'s will change as to how many we knock out each round ... as soon as I have a number I will update the new %'s we will get rid of each round

at the end of segment 1 we will elminate 11 (25%)

Starting segment 2 we will have 35 players, at the end of segment 2 we will elminate 10 (30%- roughly)

Starting segment 3 we will have 25 players, at the end of segment 3 we will go down to the top 10!

One issue that has not been addressed in the rule was a postponement. Tonight's Brown-Yale game has been cancelled due to the snow, and Yale was selected as a 3* play. Am I allowed to replace the Yale pick, with another selection? If my memory is corrected we were able to select another game in the baseball contest, in lieu of a cancellation, providing the additional game was selected before gametime. I have selected an additional pick and have posted it in the proper thread at 4:00 this afternoon.
