actually LSU is ranked #73 yard per game, but they are top 20 in point per game.

LSU dominated everyone else because of their D, not really their O

There are not any other Saban's out there as far as college football goes IMO and if you give a guy like that a month to prepare for someone he knows inside and out and you mix that with the terrible showing the LSU offense brought to the table TONIGHT you get what you got

That LSU offense was pathetic. Multiple false starts, mishandled snaps, terrible play calling IMO (How many times do you want to try the option against that speed and with a QB that looks lost doing it). I can count on one hand the number of times that he threw the ball over 10 yards. Yes, some of that is the defense but he had plenty of time on some plays and just looked like a deer in the headlights back there.

Congrat to Bama, unbelievable D though.

Mark, if this 2011 Bama defense isn't the best, it's definitely in the top three. Several of the players off this defense will be No. 1 NFL draft choices.

Breakdown of LSU/Alabama game:

.............................Alabama...........LSU
First Downs..............21....................5
Rushes-yards............35/150..............27/39
Passing yards............234..................53
Comp/Att/Int.............23/34/0............11/17/1
Return yds................68....................1
Punts avg.................3/44..................9/45
Fumbles/lost..............0/0...................3/1
Penalties/yards..........1/5....................5/35
Time of Possession.....35:26................24:34

Total dominance on defense by Alabama. This defense will be loaded again next year.

LSU should be good again next year. So will Bama tho. Bama will replace quite a few but the have had some great recruits come in.

Country, Bama has some outstanding young linebackers who will fit right in. The 2012 defense will be strong....aways will as long as Saban's on board.

You are right about LSU, they will be loaded and with the Georgia/JUCO transfer at QB, should be a plus over this year's play. LSU also got the No. 1 high school QB recruit to commit.

Alabama, LSU and Southern Cal will probably open top 3 next season. Not sure of the order.

What's the old saying? "Its not how you drive, its how you arrive." Bama will be a player again next season.
