CFB Pick 7 Contest

Wanted to start something before it gets too late.

I do agree with posting lines later in week.
Maybe a bump to $200 a person.

See other sites starting to take a rake for grading too.
I am all for 100% of pots. Teamwork and cooperation helps avoid rakes.

CCC, Just curious, would it make it easier to do pick 5 like NFL or even pick 6? I guess scoring would be easier?

I think we have had 5 CFB contests.
The 1st 3 were a Pick 5.
The last 2 were a Pick 7.

We went to a Pick 7 I believe because we had a lot of posters taking the same games due to big line swings. I think also because there are more CFB games in a week than NFL, we added 2 selections.

It would make scoring easier with less games.

I've always said if we all took 1 week to grade, 1 week to post lines, teamwork, it would really make a difference throughout this site. I felt so bad arguing about that MLB Survivor contest that one season with you. I wanted to get more posters involved with scoring, and it just blew up in my face trying to ignore you know who.

Hey, no worries. It's all good.

I would love to get others involved in stuff like scoring too. The hard part is you will get volunteers, but then you will find out they are not timely, accurate or reliable. It is frustrating because you never know they are any of the above until they screw it up.

I think last year worked out pretty well. Jack posted lines midday on Friday and I think the buy in was $200 which didn't seem to bring any complaints. I sent $100 each for Jack and CCC after I won. I think anyone that places should send something or we could comp the scores entry fee plus tips. CCC does a great job but I would take a week if everyone wants to go that way. Either way looking forward to another great year of capping competition.
