"The game's most complete runner" (Sporting News)

Sporting News calls Dion Lewis "game's most complete runner"

The nation's top returning rusher, Dion Lewis joins Alabama's Mark Ingram, the 2009 Heisman winner as preseason first team All-America RB's.

He finished with 1,799 yards and 17 touchdowns on 325 carries (5.5 avg.), the 2nd most in Pitt annals. Only the legendary Tony Dorsett, who eclipsed 2,000 yards during his 1976 Heisman Trophy campaign, rushed for more yards in a single season at Pitt.

They've pegged Pitt at #19, picking them to win the Big East and play in a BCS bowl this season.

Regardless of preseason honors, Pitt definitely has some question marks on both sides of the ball going into the summer.

Pitt lands top RB recruit

Pitt received a commitment from Bishop McDevitt standout running back Jameel Poteat this afternoon. He is the Panthers 11th commitment from the class of 2011.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Poteat rushed for 1,664 yards and 24 touchdowns last year, and 1,308 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2008.

He chose the Panthers over scholarship offers from USC, Florida, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Iowa, and Rutgers, among others.

Poteat's older cousin Hank was a standout player at Pitt who played for the Steelers and New England Patriots in the NFL.
