Why Washington ...

Huskies are drawing a lot of interest in Vegas. One book (MGM) has seen a fair amount of dough on that squad, and correspondingly on QB Browning to win the Heisman.

Washington returns 75% of its production from last year (Most in Pac12) and outside of its opening matchup with Auburn should probably be double digit favorites in every game in what should be an overall down year for the Pac12. Browning/Gaskin is a lethal combo. Don’t sleep on Petersen..

Auburn vs Wash opened at a pick and was bet to Auburn-2 within the day.

Auburn could be a mix bag this year but a mix bag is still better then any team in the Pac 12 week to week.

The advantage here is Peterson vs Malzahn. As I do think Peterson is the superior coach. The difference is can a superior talent beat a sound football team with time to prepare or vice versa.

One thing is clear Washington just like Auburn last year could not out last the grind of the SEC.

They are both pretenders to the throne this year.

This is virtually a home game for Auburn is this is about 100 miles from them and of the 85 scholly players Auburn has 35+ from Georgia

If I had to pick my heart says Auburn by a TD...effectively ending their argument unless they run the table.

why take the field when you'll probably get 3-1 or 4-1 odds anyway in a single playoff game, where a "field" team is facing alabama/clemson etc. ?

opening week is a different animal, its like a playoff game, lots of preparation

its different than catching a team midseason

that said, Auburn is not necessarily better than the best PAC12 team

yes in teh georgia dome its basically a home game for any SEC out of conference game

Should be a good one. Washington's Defense will surprise you

And Petersen is the better coach even though I like Malzahn.

petersen is top 2 or 3 IMO

This may be Washington's best chance to make it to the CFP and win it.They are loaded with many starters back who are hungry to take a title on their way out of college
