Top Quarterback signs with Florida State

Jameis Winston, rated the top quarterback recruit by Rivals and ESPN finally signed with Florida State today. Winston had committed to FSU earlier but because of a late run by Stanford, delayed his signing.

Winston is also an outstanding baseball pitcher (rated No. 64 prospect in upcoming draft) and will play both sports with the Noles.

Winston, who was second to Bama RB recruit T.J. Yeldon in voting for Alabama's Mr. Football, played HS ball only about 50 miles from Tuscaloosa. Saban tried everything to sign him but with a sophomore starter with two more years and a RS 5star freshman behind him, Winston thought he would have a better chance to play early in Tallahassee.

The kid is the real deal and FSU got them a good one.

Kid seems like all class. Wouldn't be shocked if he jumps right to the MLB.

Mac, he is the best high school quarterback from the state of Alabama that I have seen in many years. Smart, fast/quick, good size, strong arm and great leader. He will do well at FSU if he doesn't go pro in baseball.

Saban would have given one of his nuts to get this guy in Tuscaloosa.
