WSU's Mike Leach completes Staff

After cleaning house with the former coaches, Washington State's Mike Leach has completed his new coaching staff. Leach hired several coaches who had some kind of player/coach relationship with him at Texas Tech.

David Emerick (Chief of staff) Worked with Leach for six years at Texas Tech.

Mike Breske (Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs) Was defensive coordinator at Montana the past two seasons.

Jeff Choate (Linebackers) Spent the past six years at Boise State working with special teams, linebackers and runningbacks.

Jim Mastro (Runningbacks) Was an assistant coach at UCLA for the past two seasons.

Clay McGuire (Offensive Line) Was a player and coach at Texas Tech under Leach. Coached at East Carolina past two years.

Eric Morris (Inside Receivers) Played for Leach at Texas Tech. Spent past two seasons as an assistant with Houston.

Eric Russell (Asst. Head Coach/Special Teams) Coached with Leach during 2009 season. The past two years coached at Tennessee under Derick Dooley.

Joe Salave (Defensive Line) Salave has coached at a number of schools including last season with Arizona.

Dennis Simmons (Outside Receivers) Coached under Leach from 2000-2009 at Texas Tech. Spent the past two seasons at East Carolina.

Paul Volero (Outside Linebackers) Was the defensive coordinator for Key West High School in Florida where Leach lived the past two years. Leach was a volunteer coach at the school.

Antonio Huffman (Director of Football Operations) Spent the past two seasons at East Carolina, before that worked with Leach at Texas Tech.

Leach will serve as his own offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Note he has two receiver coaches, one for outside and one for inside receivers. Don't see that at many schools.

It's going to be fun watching Washington State the next two or three years.
