haha i think you mis-understood bud .... if you have a starting bankroll of $0, then you cant place any wagers at all!! He means like, starting bank roll of 5,000 ... so like for example if you lose the first 10 games for 500 each, then you would have 0 money left. just kinda gives an idea of how far 'in the hole' you are willing to go to win that 10,000
