As a lifelong Syracuse Orange fan I hate to say but Pitt wins this one. SU early in the season does not play a tough road schedule, the Garden does not count since Boeheim loves playing there.
Pitt will be to physical today for the Orange coupled with a hostile crowd and the Panthers win by 8-10 pts. Hope I am wrong. Still feel that both of these teams will make the elite 8 and wouldn't be shocked if both are in the final four.

Boeheim did not seem confident that leading scorer Kris Joseph would be able to play against Pitt.
"Obviously, it would be unlikely that he would be able to turn around with a Monday game," Boeheim said Saturday after the Cincinnati game. "He got banged pretty good when he hit the floor. We'll just have to wait and see on him. Hopefully, it won't be long. We'll just have to wait and see the next couple days and see what they bring."(post gazette)
