After watching UK in person last night............

i have to say that they have the best 2 players in the country at their respective positions......

what john wall can do w/the ball running an offense is flat-out amazing!!!! i've been to 8 games this year, and he's done something in EVERY one to wow me!!!.....he's the most talented PG i have ever personally got to watch (and i've seen some dandy ones too!!), and he's actually humble, which is SO refreshing for someone w/the kind of hype that's surrounded him for over a year or so now.....wall leads the county in assists/game for freshmen, and has ALREADY set the UK record for assists in a season by a freshmen (and he did it in only 21 games!!!).....here's the "great wall" statline: 16.9 PPG....6.5 APG....2 STEALS/GAME...3.5 RPG...shoots 80% from the charity stripe (vital for someone who can take it to the hole against anyone on the planet)......and is playing 34 minutes/game!!!!! by the time his career is over (at season's end of course) this may end up being the greatest player to ever put on a KENTUCKY uniform

and demarcus cousins is completely un-stoppable in the paint....this guy when the season began had me pumped at the fact of seeing him in UK blue for 2 seasons.....now that we're into conf play, that would be a pipe dream.....draft projections have him going #2 next year (right behind wall)....what makes what "big cuz" is doing statistically this year so jaw-dropping is that he plays such limited minutes do to foul trouble (some of the fouls are very weak calls, but he's such an intense player that his emotions get the better of him sometimes....and he's also only 19)....here's cousins' ytd stat line: 16.3ppg....9.8 RPG...2 blks/game.....and the most incredible part: 21.4 minutes/game!!!!! translate that into what a full-game stat-line would be and you have the national leader in PPG and REBOUNDS/GAME!!!!!

Yes, i am a life-long die-hard kentucky fan.....but proof's in the pudding here w/these 2 phoenominal players!!!! the cats have quite a few games remaining on espn, and i suggest tuning in as much as possible and enjoying the WOW show that these 2 are putting on!!!!!!!!!

We hired his AAU coach and he was all set to come there. Now we are just stuck with his AAU coach.

Just because dirty Drew hired his AAU coach doesn't mean anything. He was never going to Baylor. Only delusional Baylor fans believed that. He would receive absolutely 0 coaching had he gone there.

HAHA, your funny, Drew is an amazing coach, who took at program from nothing to what it is today. A top 25 team.

Don't kid yourself he was strongly considering going there, can't help it if Kentucky offered more money.

Drew is 3-3 in the conference and has a TON of talented players. Drew has always been able to recruit, yet you guys have still gone to the tourney only once in 20+ years. You were in the same position last year at 3-3 and headed to the NIT.

You've had the talent there, Drew just doesn't know how to manage it. He got a nice win in Austin, but Drew has underachieved with the talent he has had. Rankings are nice and all, but it's all aobut the tourney and what you do when you get in. Not sure you can still play the "took them from nothing" card since that scandal happened in what 01 or 02? Either way, Baylor will be on the bubble along with A&M and OSU this year.

Anyways, I'll try to not derail this thread anymore...

There is some talk of Wall returning for a 2nd year, and I read an article that mentioned Calipari trying to talk him into staying just one more. As much as I'd like to see it, it won't happen.

The guy can't improve anymore in the NCAA and when you are slated to be the #1 pick it just doesn't make sense obviously.

The only way I could see it is if by some devine miracle Kentucky loses a heart breaker in the championship game and maybe Patterson and Cousins decide to return also or something...getting carried away I know.

Kentucky will have Brandon Knight next year anyways.
