Anyone else notice this trend during tourney time??

Nobody can hold onto a double digit lead late in games....

UTEP up 12 with 4:00 to go and end up losing outright
Illinois up 13 with 8:00 to go, lost outright
Clemson up 16 in the first half and 12 in the second half, lost outright
Miami up 19 with 10:00 to go, lost outright
Notre Dame up 10 with 9:00 to go and up 8 with 5:00 to go, lost in OT
Virginia up 10 with 42 seconds left and lose outright in OT
Akron up 10 with 5 minutes to go, ends up winning in 2 OT

I'm sure there are a few more I am missing....I didn't really notice much of this early in the season. Funny how all of this happens at tournament time.

Desperation time mixed with loose ball play at the end of games. Trying not to lose instead of finishing the game.

lets leave osu alone on that one. anyone who has ever played or coached the game knows that when you take your starters out, the air is out of the balloon and you can't just stick them back in and play at a high level. Matta subbed those guys out with a nice size lead, the subs gave up some quick points, didn't get it done and he went back with the starters who already had their minds on pizza and chicks after the game. The intensity and focus was gone and Michigan reeled off some garbage points at the end. Shit happens. But to Nc's point i agree. Honestly, though, it hasn't just been in the tourneys. That shit went on all year long. I don't remember a year where more teams led by 20 at the half and lost. Especially in the smaller shit conferences. I commented to a buddy about it about a month ago

forgot about this one...you are right.

I like Washington to come out and make a statement tonight. They were so highly praised when the season began and they have done nothing but stumble to the finish line. I expect an impressive shooting performance tonight. I am confident in a 8-10 point win but play what you are comfortable with obviously.

hard to tell really....I would ask one of the guys who play totals more often. I don't really look at those numbers much unless I think it directly relates to how the game will be played vs the spread.

i think it is just how the game is being played. teams get big leads and just go into kill clock mode instead of sticking with what has been working. cant tell you how many times in the past 2 days have seen a pg stand at the half court line and dribble with everyone standing around.
