next season may be rookie cap - anyone even thinking about going pro this year should go and cash in while they can

this is the best year i can remember that players who IMO are 1-2 yrs from being ready to go pro could make the jump and get drafted......i ALWAYS say go cause i think people who pass up are fools

bledsoe and orton and dodson are supposedly "testing waters" w/out agents

and we'll RELOAD not re-build

cant wait to see mr knight in KY blue

why would you ever laugh at anyone trying to make a living, much less take a shot at financial security for multiple generations of their families?

i never said they're ready now, but this is THE year to try for it

Calipari has no problems reloading, he is so crooked he screws his socks on. Hes a "job hopper", just staying ahead of the sanctions after a few years. Too bad the sanctions don't follow the coach. JMO

Rumor going around is that Calipari met with 5 undeclared Mcdonalds All Americans and told them he is losing 8 players from this years team including 5 underclassmen and that he wants them to be his new starting 5. I think this guy should be banned from college bball. I mean everywhere Calipari goes its the real life version of Blue Chips. Hes a scumbag who constantly breaks the rules yet they dont come down on him like they should. I dont like that the new rules has caused any player worth a damn go 1 and done, but this guy is a joke.

why?

and this isnt a uk thing, he's been one of my fav coaches since his 'CAMBY' years at umass.......funny that people fail to realize that EVERY GOOD COACH IN COLLEGE SPORTS DOES THIS.....if not for the "one and done" rule, these guys would go straight to the league....i at least enjoy seeing them in college jerseys for one season...u think he should be banned b/c he gets the best players every single year?

First off its pretty unfair for you to rationalize what he does by saying every good coach does that because although he is a good coach its hard to overlook the cheating and overall career surrounding with controversy. I dont recall any of the current great coaches having a rap sheet like this:

- 1996 Umass vacates tourney wins b/c Camby accepted $
- While coaching the Nets Calipari was fined $25k and sued for $5m for calling a reported a ****ing mexican idiot
- 2001 successfully recruits Dajuan Wagner (#1 recruit and hyped as the best hs bball player ever) - proceeds to give Wagners father the position of Coordinator of Bball operations- Given Caliparis track record, pretty sketchy hiring
- After recruiting Tyreke Evans, Calipari hires an unnamed family member and personnal strength coach as administrative assistants
- 2007-2008 Memphis team is forced to vacate entire season due to a player (#1 recruit, AGAIN) Derrick Rose, having committed fraud in reference to his SAT scores

So do I agree with the 1 and done system, no, stupid rule should be able to go to the NBA. Do I agree Calipari is a great coach, yes, I believe he is, although I think his more than questionable track record is overlooked too easily. But do I think he is a scumbag who cheats to get the best players each year, yes I think thats pretty clear. To put all great coaches in his category is opinion with know objective basis what so ever.
