Anyone likes Syracuse +3' against No. 22 Kansas today?

Syracuse seems like a pretty good team after they took out No. 17 Florida yesterday. I think the points are a gift.

Any opinons are greatly appreciated. GL to all.

I'm seriously looking at both 'Cuse and N.D. May pull the trigger on both.

Gonna be a tough matchup for the Orange

I think SU is going to have a hard time with Aldrich. He will fill the lane which will slow down the dribble drive of 'Cuse, a big part of their offense. I also think they will have a hard time defending him. Onuaku will bang inside with him but if he gets into foul trouble, like he has in the past, no one else will be able to defend him. 'Cuse typically struggles against teams with a big man in the middle.

SU also has to cut down on the turnovers and sloppy play. Way too many unforced errors on the offensive end of the court and the way that Kansas plays defense that could bode to be a huge problem.

Should be a fun game to watch and good luck if you play SU

I wouldn't base lastnights performance against Florida for your basis against Kansas. Florida did not play Billy Ball lastnight. They allowed the tempo to be down and never really kept it up for any length of time.

Take nothing away from Syracuse's win but as far as Florida's ranking is concerned this early in the season I would have to decredit. They will be better as the season goes on and look for them to really make some noise next year but as for now your not seeing the true Florida team.

Personally and this means very little right now but I like Kansas in this spot to easily cover the spread.

Think Aldrich keeps the defense off-balance and scores a few inside. The defense will be forced to shrink in and if Kansas can hit shots at any kind of percentage (which they should) they should get the win.. But if Kansas isn't hitting shots, Syracuse will out-rebound them (on both sides) and could pull this one out. That said, I think Kansas gets the job done. Should be a rather close game though, under ten points until the end.

As for ND/Tex, I'm leaning Texas. Notre Dame didn't look as overpowering as I thought they would against Indiana (I know, they won by 38..) Seemed like they played down to IU's level some, and if Indiana could shoot or finish at all, that game would have been much less impressive for Notre Dame.. If ND plays like they should this year, they definitely have the talent to beat Texas (who hasn't been overly impressive early this year either), but I don't see it tonight..

Just my thoughts, might prove way off...

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Boy, I am really liking seeing so much action on the Jayhawks.

Well, if you saw my post from y'day, I hammered the Orange. I like them today too, but not even close to the same extent as I did y'day. then again, yesterday's play was like GOY type status for me. Playing Kansas in a virtual home game is no easy pickins. And Collins and Aldrich are legit. Needless to say, I still like the Orange here as they have a lot of experience. Seeing Rautins get his groove back was nice and they are very dangerous on the offensive end. This team is gonna score shitloads of points this year. I disagree with what Yankee has to say to an extent as SU has played decent against some teams with big men. For example they have done pretty well recently against georgetown in the roy hibbert era. They have struggled the most against high efficient offenses like Notre Dame who can expose the zone through good passing and shooting. McAlarney has shredded this team. Interesting that an excellent passer like Calathes shredded the zone but they just don't have enough weapons like ND does. Anyway, Kansas doesn't have the type of team to exploit the 2-3. SU should return to more of a zone tonight because kansas will not have a player like Calathes on the court. Collins is more of a scorer and who is he going to pass to anyway. Freshmen and newbies, I don't think so. Ongeneat and Jackson will assist Onuaku is dealing with Aldrich and so will the zone. I am sure he'll get his, but just like y'day, Kansas is too young, unbalanced, and without chemistry to put away a very good Syracuse team with a very lot to prove. Syracuse is not going to be lax in the early season schedule, but Kansas has every right to be. Believe it or not, this game is a whole lot more appetizing since they are playing it in front of the KU fans. It may be Kemper, but it ain't Allen Fieldhouse. I'd take the points here, but they definitely have a shot to win the game as well. I still think Kansas is for squares here.

One down, one more to go ... go Cuse!

I didn't have the guts to take ND moneyline for a dime; I'd rather win 500 less than lose a dime. This was my first big college ball play and it turned out really well.

Congrats to u for taking the ML!

np baseball, turnovers, and jimmy b's lax coaching style equates to this team looking lethargic at times, but they are no doubt for real this year. once they learn how to use their defense to generate some o, watch out. definitely what led to their comeback tonight. 89 two games in a row. major firepower here.
