ASU/UNM Insider from a Sun Devil Perspective...

Sun Devils take on UNM to start new season | ASU News | The State Press | Arizona State University

ASU has three returning starters and two (Kuksiks, Abbott) can score with McMillan running the point. ASU plays tremendous defense under Sendek and is very disciplined. We have some great recruits but they are young and a game at the Pit is very tough for anyone. I think ASU plays hard but loses in the end as they fade down the stretch. They could also be overwhelmed early because of the crowd and freshman not accustomed to D-1 hoops yet. Not sure how good UNM is but ASU rarely plays well on the road non-conference.

UNM 67
ASU 56

UNM -3 $75

Good luck to all...

No problem...Always trying to help the cappers at the Mall! ;) I just don't see us going into the Pit and winning let alone losing by less than 3!

that line almost looks a bit low, being in "the Pit". ill still cheer for anyone playing against an Alford led team- GO ASU!

I think its a fair line given ASU's recent success under Sendek. Always with ASU, you can tell within the first 5 minutes on the road whether have a fighting chance or not. Usually, non-conference games on the road with teams that are legitimate give ASU trouble.

76-58 Final

Typical Devils on the road...look for them to play much better next game vs UAB at home.

UNM -3 - WINNER

Thanks guys...I am pretty "tuned in" to the Devils so if you ever need insight, I'll be more than happy to help.

Good luck!
