lol this is comical

ok so the "media" pays attention to the big east, fair enough

its also pretty natural

look at who big east teams played, early in the season, they were out of conference big boys

they ( the big east ) teams won those games vs the big boys out of conference

including wins vs texas, wisconsin and duke

then when those big east teams that won big out onf conference games early in the year...went into their own league play, they didnt always fair so well

in fact there was a lot of parity within the big east...hence a lot of good teams

not really any great team, so you get 11 teams in, from a very big conference 11 of 16 teams

that actually a smaller share than the big ten got getting 7/10 teams in

and none left

was the big east a little overrated? maybe, did they deserve all 11 bids, yes

dont forget this year is a bigger field too 68 teams

Big Ten actually has 11 teams, so they didn't get a higher % than the Big East.

Do agree that they deserved all 11 bids though, especially when comparing against the teams that were left out.

Actually - I was surprised that Marquette made it in, but then they went to the sweet sixteen - go figure.

Barkley could hardly keep from rolling on the floor with laughter, when he repeated a comment that Pitino(who moved to ESPN where the B E got lots of love) made. Pitino stated, "coaches got together and decided that one team we didn't want to play was Richmond."

Barkley said, while LOL, "seems Bill Self missed that meeting"
