building a handicapping system

Hey guys,

I would really like to learn how to build my own system to use to betting basketball and football. Are there any websites I can go to or book to read to help me learn how to build one? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You can always get a book or two to start. I wouldn't put a lot of faith in them, but its a starting point. My "system" is basically a combination of a few systems. I'm no professional but it is a full time job if you want to get serious about it. Especially with college bball, you're looking at hours each day researching, finding trends, etc. One place to start is to trail people here at the mall. Take games that you agree with, and then research why you won/lost. I started by trying to pick the winner in every game, I didn't play them all, but I followed them all. Everybody's system is different, but I found patterns in what was winning and losing and tweaked it from there. It still is a work in progress. Most importantly, don't let your biases for one team or another sway your opinion. Look at every game objectively and remember that the teams playing don't care about you or your money.

Hopefully this helps you start.
Good luck.

Best system is not to play at all....99% of all gamblers lose over time. Do it recreationally and you will enjoy it much more....Ive tried to quit a few times and I cant but thankfully I control the amounts I play with. GL

PEACE
