Butler v Utep

Someone asked me last week for two teams that were good, but still sleepers, and I said Butler and Utep would both make it out of the first weekend...that ain't happening now!!!

And now I'm torn on this matchup, Butler lost a close game to LSU last year in the 1st round and brings back most of that experienced team, while Utep has a dynamic 1 2 punch in Culpepper and Caracter-

I still think somehow the more athletic Utep gets it done...

Also, North Texas +15.5 looks appealing, and so does Wofford out the Souther Conference vs Wisky-

My first two plays of the tourney to put in will be Utep/Butler Over and Wisky/Wofford Under

everyone is remembering UTEP from their championship game against houston.

UTEP had that game in the bag and gave it away.


before that, this team was on a huge 16 winning streak in conference USA which is a better conference than the Horizon


add in the fact that butler lost to UAB on the road by 10. teams with athleticsm give them trouble.

they are in trouble down low as well, matt howard gets in alot of foul trouble and he will have a battle with caracter. britton moultre and caracter are down low, they have the size advantage there. culpepper hasnt been mentioned.

UTEP was the one of the hottest teams in the nation and if they had won the conference USA tournament, would have easily been a single digit seed, i would look at a 7 even.

not sure who will come out but this is not an easy game.

all over UTEP here. Think they're going to surprise a lot of ppl this year when they move on through a couple rounds.
