Calhoun's last game?

Should he go out on top? With health issues and the sanctions coming, was that his last game?

Calhoun is a great coach. Most good coaches do little shady stuff

Yes I think he's done.

"Going out on top"

Doesn't make sense to me at all. With his multiple championships, and wins galore the guy will now always be considered at the top. Unless his health issues are a major problem this guy stays in coaching, and just builds on his resume trying to work into the legend status.

Going out on top would be 60 year old farve after his best season ever statistically. The writing was on the wall after they missed the SB that year.

do you disagree that this season and this run was his best coaching job ever? That's leaving on top, at the prime of his game.

If Kemba & Lamb leave for the NBA, will they duplicate their success from this year? He's already going to miss 3 Big East games, and that number could still grow depending on what more comes out. Chances are alot better that his teams success declines over the next 3 years rather than increasing. With his health history his body can't hold up to the rigors of big east coaching and ncaa investigations too much longer.

He's probably my favorite coach of all time, of the ones I've seen in my lifetime anyway, and I'd rather see him retire here, than 2 years down the road after losing in the 2nd round of the tourney, and missing 10 games due to health and 5 more due to NCAA.

Right now every talking head is praising him as John Wooden. You know how fast public opinion can change with one mediocre season.

No I don't disagree this was his best season ever.

I just think coaches, and players are a bit different with how they leave. You don't hear many coaches get bad press unless they do something crazy or commit a violation. Yes he did commit a violation, but he has now been punished for it. By the time he comes back its not like the media is going to harp on him for it throughout the season. It will be more like "uconn has missed their HOF coach" etc etc... So like I said unless his health is a major concern, and he feels he might not make it more than a couple years sure he should hang it up. However from what I have heard he feels like he has a lot of time left, and he will miss coaching too much. If that holds true he comes back.. coaches.. adds to his win/loss record, and makes multiple attempts to get another title which would push him to be talked about as one of the greatest of all time for years to come.
