Can you remember a tournament when officials made more impacts than players?

Let me clarify....endings have been decided by officials a lot lately....I can't remember a tournament or stretch of games where officials made more plays than the players.....

It seems like every game is being reviewed for a big play that was either called incorrectly or wasn't called and should have been. There have also been time issues where officials haven't added time when they should have. Officials have the right to review plays when time is in question, why haven't they? Also, some of the games have been called very tight as well as very loose...where is the consistency? Foul margins have been all over the place during the tournament, causing a lot of teams to struggle because of early foul situations. Also, regardless of the outcome, why wasn't goal tending called in the Washington/UNC game?

I feel like the officials have been making more mistakes (big or small) since the St. John's/Rutgers ending in the Big East Tournament....

Let the players decide the game, not the whistle.....anyone agree or am I just seeing things?

Anytime the head of officiating has to get on television and do an interview more than once in a few weeks span, you have an issue...

so according to head of officiating the ref doesnt have to check if the time was right

unless a coaching staff asks for it, but according to lorenzo lomar he did

should have been 1.1 for last inbound not 0.5

wtf

Something is going on under the table. Lots of calls that should have not been whistled and your right it seemed to start in Rutgers/ St. Johns.
Call here or there so cousin vinnie can cover his bet and cut the ref in.

I think the UNC / Washington game was more a case of UNC playing in Charlotte. If you look at some of the common issues (St. John's @ Garden is being cited), it has to do more with home court (or as close as you're gonna get in neutral court games). The refs could have looked, but they're not going to be the ones to cause UNC to lose in Charlotte. The Foul spread in the first half was just as bad, if not worse.

As far as fixing on spread - I don't see it. Only issue was the ML since the game went off at 3.5 - 5. Same thing with the St. John's game.

at least the referees are taking the focus off the mediocrity of college basketball in this day and age. all these boneheaded plays put the onus on the referees to be a factor.

Another play was at the end of Texas/AZ. Texas trying to inbound the ball, coming up on 5 seconds he turns to the ref and says TO. the ref then says no, 5 second rule. MFer it was 5 seconds then you should have stated that prior to the player calling TO. The player called TO before the ref signaled 5 second rule. To me the player gets the TO cuz he beat the 5 second call.

We all know what happened after that. It cost Texas the game.

just a couple points in the pitt/butler game both kids said they fouled so the refs were only doing there job i know most games u let that go but these were pretty obvious fouls to bad either one had to lose

in the n.caro game it would not have made any difference if they had called goal tending because the kid from wash was not outside the 3 point line
