Clemson v. Michigan?

Who do you guys like here? I am leaning Michigan after looking at the stats. The only thing that scares me is that Clemson can shoot the rock and may be too athletic for Michigan. Not sure if Michigan can score with them. Your thoughts?

its an interesting one for sure

Michigan has to hit shots, period..Clemson is a lot more athletic and can press on both ends

I lean Clemson

Big Michigan fan here. This game can only go two ways in my opinion. Michigan has to knock down the threes, or they will get blown out. What I like about it is that due to the clemson style of defense we should get a lot of open looks, so shots should go down. If we are not making shots, we lose by 15.

On the other hand, if the shots are falling, Michigan can easily win this game. The 1-3-1 defense that Beilein plays I don't believe Clemson has seen this year, so that should frustrate them. Also, Michigan struggles with teams with multiple bigs because Novak gets stuck trying to defend one of them down low. That is how almost every team has beat us this year, working through the zone and pounding it down low against a smaller defender. The good thing for Michigan is that I don't believe Clemson has multiple bigs that can score, they are more of a guard scoring team.

I think it will be a good game. One other thing to consider is Beileins' track record in the tournament compared to Olivers. I believe Oliver is 0-5 in the tournament, while Beilein has taken teams deep in the tournament even when they were lower seeds. He is the far superior coach in this game I believe, which is why I lean Michigan. However, if we are not making shots it will get ugly, the Wolves live and die by the 3.

This is a good game to stay away from, but gun to head, I hae to go with the ACC team over the Big 10 team. The winner will not get by Oklahoma.

Clemson has had some dissention on the team recently but had a very spirited team meeting when they returned from the ACC tourney to "get it all out". They match up well with Michigan and I think Clemson is more athletic as well. If Oglesby and Rivers can hit from outside like they did against Maryland and Duke then they can win by 10. Their press has been beaten recently and their defense has been poor and they have been addressing this the past few days. I have been one of the biggest critics against them in the past few weeks but I do think they are the better team. Just my two cents worth.....from an admitted homer!

Tigers, losers of 6 of their ***, and 4 of their L5, will not be with us very long.

Standard late season skid just showed up a little later this year.

Oklahoma has proved nothing so far this year. Their best wins are Davidson, Purdue, Texas, and Okie St. Not exactly a schedule worth bragging about. They have a great player in Griffin, but either Clemson or Michigan could beat them on a given day.
