Coach John Wooden

Legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden is in grave condition at UCLA Medical Center, according to KCBS 2 News in Los Angeles.
Wooden, 99, coached at UCLA from 1948-75 and won a record 10 national championships, including seven in a row. The Indiana native was inducted in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 1960 and as a coach in 1973.
In 2009, a Sporting News panel selected Wooden the greatest coach of all time.

I met Coach Wooden about 8 years ago. He has an incredible memory. He was quoting poems, telling stores from 4o years back, and he is always teaching. I was blessed to spend some time with him.
