College Basketball Handicapping Contest

Hey guys, and girl(s).lol. I came up with the idea of a College Basketball Handicapping Contest today, that would start possibly week 2 or 3 of the College Basketball Season. I talked with Dr. Jack, and this is how it would go;

1) It costs 50$ to enter - You send the money to Dr. Jack, and he'll be holding it in a Bet Jamaica account probably, the same way the MLB teams and March Madness contests have gone.

2) This contest will be similar to that of the MLB Team contest, where you pick a team and post plays for and against that team (including totals), but instead you pick a college basketball conference.

3) First thing you do is pick ONE CONFERENCE you feel you are very familiar. Any conference is fine, but you must pick one and only one.

4) Each week you must make 5+ wagers, there is no limit for amount of wagers, you just must make five or more. (A.T.S and Totals only).

5) All wagers are 1-3 units, but you may have ONE 5 unit wager each week.

6) You MUST make 5+ wagers in a week, if you make only 4 wagers, you will be awarded -1 unit for the 5th play.

7) You are able to take up to two weeks off, but if you are taking a week off you must not post ANY wagers for that week. You may NOT take the final week of the contest off.

8) Any further rules or questions will be answered by me or Dr. Jack. So if you need any clarification of the rules post in here.

9) This contest gives handicappers the chance to bet only on the conference they are the most familiar with. I will grade this contest each week, and there will be a thread to post your plays.

10) You may not edit/change your plays or their units, once a play is posted it is final. All lines posted must be the same at the time of posting at one of CappersMall many great sportsbooks, you may not grab a line from any other sportsbook; and you must post what sportsbook you got the line from.

11) All plays must be posted 30 minutes prior to the game commencing.

12) PRIZES: 1st Place - 60% of the contest money; 2nd place - 25% of the contest money; 3rd place - 15% of the contest money


We will most likely start November 29th, giving everyone a chance to gauge the teams perfomances, and the contest will end at the end of the season (about 15 weeks worth of plays).

one question i have is can we do over/ under wagers to or is it straight bets and i will take the sec since i am form tenn go vols hopefull better in basketbal then football this year

louie, i stated in the rules you can do totals (over/under) as well as straight bets (A.T.S)..

I will be most likely taking Atlantic Cost (ACC), because I follow Wake Forest alot in CBK.. or I might decide SEC, as it is probably the best college basketball conference, and I love Tennessee..
