Friday's Play !!
lost the last time out with Northeastern, but won the big one before that with Houston. Tonight's play I like more than I liked Northeastern. Friday's play is the Kent State Golden Flashes +4.5. Here's why:
Drexel is 17-9 on the year, although they lost their last time out against NC-Wilmington (on 2/15). I do believe that they might be looking ahead tonight to next week's big revenge match-up against Va Comm (they lost earlier to them by 4). Despite their 17-9 record, this is a team that shoots a pathetic 61.6% from the free throw line. That sucks. They are 3-2 for their last 5, but note that they have a 37.4% field goal percentage during those 5 games. That sucks too. Meanwhile, the Kent Golden Flashes are 18-8 on the year. They are battling with Miami-Oh for 1st in the East division of the Mac, and they are coming off a tough loss (I believe in OT) to Miami-Oh on 2/16. Before that they had won 6 in a row. They shoot 66.8% from the stripe (not great but still 5 percentage points better than Drexel). They are 4-1 for their last 5, and during those 5 games, they are shooting a very solid 45.7% from the field. This game goes down to the wire. I want the points. Thankyouverymuch. Friday's play is Kent State +4.5.
