How many of you wish that your team

was run more like Butler or Duke?......I do! They are what the student athlete is supposed to be........I hate the way the UK program is and what it stands for right now.....I want to be respected on and off the court...I want the kids to act like young adults, go to school and do the right thing..Is that to much to ask? I don't want the chest pounding, run up to the camera and the me me me attitude...I know there are a lot of people that hate Duke and I am one of them, but it's out of jealousy......I just never hear a bunch of bad stuff out of these kids...jail, drugs, fighting (not counting Lattener's footstomping) In general, I think they do it the right way.....................I know that my UK buddys are prob gonna have a stroke, but its just like that........

Is Kentucky really that much different than Duke? I know with Coach Cal it is a different culture but Kentucky isn't that far removed from Tubby Smith being there. Even during Gillespie coaching stint didn't seem like they were thugs or anything.

I think the better question is would you rather have a program that recruits for the 4 yr player vs one and done? I believe Duke drought on Championships was mainly due to that first group of players (thinking Boozer was one of them) that left for the league early.

The issue will always be the fan base that wants to win now at all costs. Even after 2 years of Tubby being in MN some fans are getting tired of his offense and would love for him to leave. Which makes no sense because whoever replaces him won't be close to his caliber.

Absolutely they are different! I would rather take a kid that has some character that's ranked 25th in the nation, wants to go to school, doesnt have a police record and is going to be a true student athlete, than the #1 kid that all that's on his mind is going pro and doing it immediately. So, then you have a kid that has to get his points his freshmen year so that he can escape the NBA rule of not going immediately.......Its more of the attitude and UK has had a bunch of them through the past 10 years that I would have rather not seen at our program.

Duke is far removed from being a program like UK, since 2001, Dukes last championship before last night, when Coach K had a lot of players leave early, he vowed to stop recruiting the one and done player, took 9 years but he got another with 4 year guys
