Iowa +8 - thoughts?

My local line isn't up yet, but I'm seeing Iowa at +8. It seems like this would be an easier cover. Whatcha think?

FWIW.....At first glance, Iowa looks to cover. But, they have put together a decent stat line against weak competition. BC has played much tougher opponents, are at home, and I have them rated 17 spots higher than Iowa. My model has BC by 3.5 to 7 pts. Either way, It's too close for me to play...

Good Luck on your action....

For what it's worth...

I would lean Iowa, but I wouldn't play it. They have been lucky with the 3 pointers until now, but look what happened at WVU. They played a good shooting team and got smoked. BC can score.

Stay away.

Iowa is young - they start 3 frosh and 2 sophs and their only true road game was at The Citadel (WVU and KSU were neutral site). They don't have much size and rely heavily on hitting their shots with their top shooter a true freshman in Anthony Tucker. Inside game is non-existent and rebounding will trouble them this year.

Iowa will be very good within the next two years, but this season is going to be a rough ride. They'll have their good moments but bad ones too - look at WVU.

This line is right where I thought it would be. If it was 5 or under I'd be all over BC. I think this has the potential to be a double-digit loss for Iowa but they could hang tough. Could.

I'm not confident enough one way or the other to put my money where my mouth is so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Iowa just finished a road trip to Vegas on Saturday, flew back to Iowa and now on a plane a few days later to the other coast. As IBB said, they are young and inexperienced as well as physically mismatched tonight.

If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.” ---Jim Valvano

Hey good to see you around. TK didn't expense off a trip for you to go east to cover the Hawks? LOL
