Finished 2-1 yesterday on unit plays, and also hit my POD on La Tech (didn't post units). Anyway, I'm going to take the 3 units I won yesterday and stretch it to five today, as I try to recover from a miserable start to February.

Ohio (+7) over Kent State

First off, I have this game capped at Kent State -5. There's no question that the Golden Flashes have been one of the better MAC teams over the last several years, and certainly, despite a 7-4 conference record, you can argue that they are the most improved team in the conference this year. After a 1-4 start, they have won six straight to save their season.

But Ohio, a team that's gone in the opposite direction despite an easy schedule as of late, isn't far behind. Not in the standings, and certainly not in talent, either. Ohio, remember, actually BEAT Kent State earlier this year.

The Bobcats (13-11, 6-5) will have the best player on the court, Jerome Tillman, who averages 17.5 points and 9.3 rebounds. The Flashes didn't have an answer for him last time out, as he scored 16 points and grabbed 9 boards while spending most of the afternoon at the free throw line. I expect much of the same today.

I think Kent State's run will end tonight, but even if it doesn't, I've got several good reasons to take Ohio and the points and expect to cover:

--Kent State is a MAC-worst 7-15 ATS.
--Kent State is 3-10 ATS against teams with winning records.
--Kent State is 1-10 ATS when the posted total is between 130 and 139.
