Minnesota vs. Mississippi State

May come down to these two teams as the last team in

What scenario will happen?

Am hoping if the same thing happens in both games, both win or both lose, Minny is in

What you think?

Hoping not to have to rely on the committee

Lunardi says Minny is in, win or lose today

Don't know if I trust that, especially if Mississippi State wins, effectively maybe taking another team out

I don't know why there is so much love for Miss St from the experts.

They have a whole 2 quality wins all season - Vanderbilt and Old Dominion, both neutral courts.

They have 5 "bad" losses - Alabama (100), Western Ky (133), Rider (136), Auburn (152) and Arkansas (158). Their SOS is 97 overall and 71 for conference games. Non conference SOS is 208.

Minnesota has 5 quality wins this season - Butler, Purdue, Wisconsin, Ohio St, and Michigan St.

They have 4 "bad" losses - Northwestern (116), Michigan twice (132), and Indiana (221). Their SOS is 44 overall and 68 for conference games. Non conference SOS is 76.

Their RPI number and "bad" losses are the same to me. Minnesota played a tougher schedule and has almost 3 times as many quality wins as Mississippi St. IMO, Minnesota is way ahead of Mississippi St, and most likely the top candidate on the short list of bubble teams that remain.
