Wink And the National Chapion is:

Michigan State Spartans (31-6) vs. North Carolina Tarheels (33-4)

The Spartans have absolutely been superb. But theTarheels sport the best offense in America that really shined through in their runaway win over Villanova 83-69. North Carolina had control of the game from start to finish and their ability to score points quickly has been unchallenged so far in the Tournament. However, the Michigan State Spartans will have the home crowd behind them considerably, which will help.

The Spartans lead the nation in rebounding margin and their ability to grab the offensive rebounds against Connecticut made a huge impact in the game. They will need to have a huge night against the boards and not give the strong shooting Tarheels any second chance rebounds. Michigan State will need all their scorers to play big to keep pace with North Carolina who is averaging 88 points per game during the NCAA Tournament.

North Carolina is just extremely quick moving the ball and their star studded roster present problems for any team to defend. North Carolina is one of the only teams in the country that had 5 starters average at least 10 points all season.Ty Lawson has been the most impressive Tarheel throughout the Tournament along with Tyler Hansrough. There ability to create 6-0 and 8-0 runs test the will of opposing teams. The Tar Heels have a great inside-outside game with forwards Tyler Hansbrough (20.8 ppg) and Deon Thompson (10.6 ppg) G/F Danny Green (13.3 ppg) and a stacked back court with guards Ty Lawson (16.5 ppg) and Wayne Ellington (15.8 ppg).

Some trends to concider:
The number of points Michigan State allows is terribly important. This season, when Izzo’s crew surrenders 70 or more points they are 3-6 and 2-7 ATS.
The Spartans are tough-minded 15-4 ATS in all neutral court games over the last two seasons.

North Carolina is 9-1 SU and ATS in the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons and 7-1 ATS in road games after leading their last three games by five or more points at the half this season. The Heels build momentum with offensive pressure and are 14-5 ATS after successfully covering the spread in four or more consecutive games.

Will it be destiny ringing the bell for Michigan State or North Carolina finishing what they started?

If the Tar Heels can control the boards and force an up-tempo game they should be cutting down the twine at the end of this game.
I do not believe these experienced veterans will lose this game. North Carolina will win their 2nd NCAA Championship in the last 4 years.

recommend:North Carolina-7
