NC's Friday Night CBB Card!!

First and foremost.....I pray that Lang isn't on any of these plays. Anyone notice the "usual" run he is on? Anyway, here are my plays tonight! Best of luck!!

2***Iowa Hawkeyes +13

Iowa State finally hit the "tougher" part of their preseason schedule last week. They are 0-3 SU & ATS vs Northwestern, California, and Northern Iowa. I can see why they stumbled a bit since they allowed over 44% shooting in 2 of those 3 games. I'm sorry but Drake, Chicago St., and Miss. Valley St. aren't exactly tough warm up games. Iowa has been terrible at times but they are more familiar with these in state situations. Neither team has a player that can blow the game open themselves. In their losses, except for the obvious, Iowa hasn't really been "blown out" of the gym. The Cyclones are 1-8-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS loss. Call me crazy but I'll take Iowa plus the points.

2***Old Dominion Monarchs +6

&
1***Old Dominion/Dayton UNDER 126

This won't be a barn burner I can assure you that. Old Dominion is flying under the radar as far as defense is concerned. They have only allowed 53 points per game as of now. What is so special about that? They have played some respectable offenses, including Mississippi State who has been shooting lights out. Old Dominion has had the hot hand from the field as of late. This is beneficial seeing as how they are matched up against a team that allows close to 46% shooting from the field. Neither team has the explosive mentality nor do they have the overall talent to do just that. Dayton is 3-8 in their last 11 following a SU win. I like the Monarchs and the Under.

1***Tennessee/Middle Tenn. State UNDER 147˝

Tennessee knows they have a size advantage in this matchup. Knowing they like to shoot the 3 ball, I have a feeling they'll keep that at bay tonight. The Vols are coming off a 9 day lay off and I don't think they'll pick up the rhythm right away. I look for a slower start which will be enough to keep this under the number. With Tennessee's size advantage I think there will be more of an inside game tonight with less scoring runs from the perimeter. The combination of Tennessee's stout defense and MTST's poor shooting are crying for a low scoring affair. Against weaker opponents Tennessee has averaged allowing low 60's and high 50's production. The under is 6-1 following a Vols SU win and 5-0 for MTST vs the SEC. I'll take the under here.

Best of luck to everyone at the mall! I hope it is a profitable night!!

If you notice, today's plays are for smaller units. I like the plays, but obviously they aren't major plays for me. BOL

Not a bad evening with only 2 sides and a few totals. 3-1 on the night, +1.6 units!
