Nesser's Sunday March Madness Plays

This is what I like for Sunday after going 4-1 on sides and 0-1 on second half plays. Cincinnati proved to be costly yesterday having them straight for the game, 2nd half, and on a nice parlay with Butler ML and BYU. Something that I will definitely remember next year. There is no question UConn was the right side, congrats to Connecticut backers yesterday. Hopefully today can follow-up a nice day Saturday for what should be another great day of college basketball games.

George Mason +11.5
(I believe that Ohio State will win this game, but they will have a hard time doing it against a hungry George Mason team that's trying to make it's own name for itself and not the team that represented a long shot that went to the final four in 2006. They can get hot from the perimeter and make this into more of a battle than the Buckeye’s want. Even if they get into a large deficit early, this George Mason team as they showed against Villanova will not go down without swinging and Ohio State has been letting up a lot at the end of games. That could leave the backdoor wide open at the end for a nice dog cover on the big number.)

Arizona +6
(One of the big things Arizona will do in this game that they didn’t against Memphis is get the perimeter game going where they went 5-19. I think that the game plan going in for Texas is going to be to contain Derrick Williams as much as possible and Arizona will have a lot more free looks from the perimeter. The battle of the boards will be a key to this game, something that won Arizona the game where they held Memphis to only 7 offensive rebounds. Three point shooting and rebounding will decide the outcome of this game, and I think that will favor Arizona in the end with another big outing from the big man, Derrick Williams. Look for the Wildcats to surprise here.)

Syracuse -4.5
(Marquette beat Syracuse when they were at the lowest point of the season, now Syracuse plays the revenge card-something they have been great at this year after losing to an in conference opponent and embarrasses Marquette on the center stage beating them by double digits to advance to the Sweet 16.)

Washington +4.5

(UNC gives up 87 to Long Island, has 18 turnovers, and Roy can't pull his starters until 48 tics left. UNC and their young pups will struggle with the tempo Washington will bring today, and the turnovers will prove to be costly this time around. I like Washington's tournament experience and how they have played as of late. I expect Isahai Thomas to carry the load again, and Matthew Bryan Amaning and Aziz N'Diaye to bang the boards leading Washington to victory)

Michigan +11.5
(They have valuable experience playing 5 teams ranked in the top 5 and 8 opponents who were ranked in the top 25 all season. This is a team that only lost to Ohio State by 4, 9 and 7 in the Big Ten regular season and conference tournament, Kansas by 7 in OT, Wisconsin by 1 on a heart-breaker, and Syracuse by 3 early on. Fact of the matter is, this team has kept it well within the set Duke number against some of the best teams in the country at all stages throughout the season and is peaking at the right time. They beat Duke unexpectedly a few seasons ago, and Douglass and Zack Novak were apart of that team and I know they would love nothing more than to beat them again in more of a leadership role.)

Best of luck to you all today,

Nesser
