PAC 10 - Who's In, Who's Out?? - Discuss

Who ya got??

PAC-10 is WAAAYYY down this year, but as we've seen so many times past, teams that get in from a perceived down conference often make some noise in the dance. I think they somehow get 3 bids:

Pacific-10 Conference

LOCKS TO BE IN:
None

SHOULD BE IN:
California 9-4 17-8

ON THE BUBBLE:
Arizona State 8-5 18-8 - Should get 2nd bid
Washington 7-6 17-8 - May get 3rd bid
Arizona 7-6 13-12 - fading fast

BUBBLE BURST, GOTTA WIN CONFERENCE TOURNEY:
UCLA 6-6 11-13
Oregon State 5-7 11-13
Washington State 5-8 15-10
Stanford 5-8 11-14
Oregon 4-8 12-12

USC 7-5, 15-9 NOT ELIGIBLE FOR POSTSEASON

lets not kid ourselves with Arizona on the bubble - they are 13-12 and in the pac 10

iowa state is 13-12 and in the big 12

Arizona need the conference tourney to get in, bottom line

Real question is which conference deserves more bids, the Colonial or the Pac 10

PAC 10 is a joke....someone better not get hosed by letting a Pac 10 team in.

I agree, PAC-10 is complete garbage. I do think the committee has a tendency to reward traditional power programs and conferences with more bids than they deserve, however. Plus, there's a little political game that goes on in those selection committee rooms with folks pressing their own agendas.........

Yes, but, Iowa State 2-9 in conference, Arizona 7-6.

Although Az State's 2-9 might actually be better than Arizona's 7-6.......

Zona's strength of schedule is 26 and Iowa State's is 45 on CBS Sportsline

RPI listed there for Zona is 90, Iowa State is 114. You should see some of the teams ahead of both on RPI.

This really is the year of parity in CBB, Will make a very interesting March Madness

yeah 7-6 in the pac 10 pretty much the same as 2-9 in big 12

and out of conference strength of schedule doesnt really matter when you lose all the games

Neither of them deserve to be in. Minny's RPI is higher than both and they don't deserve to be in either

Yeah, I know, I am in total agreement. No way PAC 10 only gets one bid, but that is really all they should get
