The Pack's CBB Thursday w/ Rare 4* Play
This one is as big as it gets for me. Enjoy.
4* North Carolina -29.5 North Carlonia comes into this one off an atrocious defensive performance, giving up 84 points while giving up 43 rebounds to a weak Oral Roberts team: "Though his team led by double digits for most of Saturday’s victory, Williams expressed displeasure with parts of the performance, namely giving up 50 points in the second half. "We were not sharp at all, Williams said, I’ve been pleased with what we’ve done, particularly on the defensive end of the floor. But not (Saturday)." Hansbrough also, comes into this game needing nine points to break the North Carolina all time scoring record so the Dean Dome will be rocking. The Purple Aces, however, come into this game flying high off a 32 point blowout over well respected Western Kentucky. Coming into that game Western Kentucky was riding a 4 game winning streak including a Huge 14 point win vs. #3 Louisville. "The Aces moved from a nice pre-conference story to a team everybody is watching with a 72-40 win over Western Kentucky on Dec. 13" (Yahoo Sports). So one may ask why is North Carolina laying 29.5 points? It's simple, Evansville will come into this game extremely overconfident. With UNC coming off their worst defensive effort, Roy Williams will have his team motivated to pound these Purple "high flying" Aces into the ground. Lay the large number. GL.
