Pitt Panthers are not a good Basketball team...its obvious.

I finally got some free seats to last night's Pitt game at the Pete.
Haven't been there this season and was excited to go.
THIS IS A VERY BAD PITT TEAM!
How in the hell can they be ranked in the top 20 is beyond me?
They looked horrible against the Wagner Seahawks and just dont have it this season. The Defense is terrible and gives up endless open looks at the basket.
They don't pressure anyone which has been their forte over the years.
The Offense had like 18 turn-overs and outside of Gibbs who went scoreless in the 1st half, they can't shoot the ball.
I figured it was going to be a down year, but this team stinks!

If the books want to keep gifting us with lines based on Pittsburgh's last few seasons performances, its time to take or give those points and bet on the opposition. With Big East play starting soon, its time to make some serious cash fading the Panthers.

At this stage I can't see anything better that 10-8 in conference. Yes Woodall is out but often times he was a turnover waiting to happen. Hurley out coached Dixon with back court pressure on Gibbs which kept him off his game till it was too late.

Taylor continues to disappoint with his soft defense, poor free throw shooting. His only offense is an uncontested dunk. Makes you wish for an old school defender like Chevy Troutman.

So the Abromaitis-less Notre Dame squad is the bet tomorrow??

Usually a damn good home team. And if your saying Pitt is that bad they very overvalued at -1.5

Honestly I dont know what the play is?
I haven't seen Notre Dame this season but read nothing good about them either. I am not betting this game but see quite a few on Pittsburgh.
The line to me indicates this game is a coin toss between two teams that aren't very good. Pitt cant beat teams they should at home, so what would lead me to think they can go on the road and beat one?

w/o Abromaitis Notre Dame is a bad team...and will probably be blown out as usual, especially since Pit was upset by Wagner last game

They play horrible basketball. Notre Dame schooled them.

Not that I feel any smarter by posting this thread a few weeks back, but it seems correct.
Pitt must win this game tonight @ Depaul and I believe they will.

However I took the +4.5 because it should be close if they do some how take this game.

What about tonight? Syracuse -15 with no weaknesses. The only glimmer for Pitt is that they did play a little better Saturday v. a decent Marquette team. Epps will start again tonight at point which frees up Gibbs to do his thing. (29 vs Marquette). Syracuse the type of team can be up 5-6 pts then 3 min. later be up 20. Tread lightly.
