Play-in game thoughts...
I am curious to thoughts of others on this game but not from a gambling aspect. There is talk of eliminating the play-in game which I think is a mistake but there also has to be changes to it. In my opinion the play-in game is a great idea, but they have the wrong teams participating. The teams that play these games have automatic bids by winning their conferences, so technically they are not the last 2 teams getting into the tournament. Does the loser of this game really get to say they were in the tournament? If Alabama St.(and I don't know if they are, just using an example) is making their first appearance and they lose, they don't even have the distinction of saying they played a UNC, or Louisville,or Pitt, etc... Here is my suggestion for this play-in game. The last team selected and last team left out should be playing this game. It should be a game between at-large teams to determine a #12 or #13 seed, not a #16 seed. That would also give the first team left out to get one last chance to earn a spot. Plus it would bring more interest to fans other than gamblers to the play-in game. If San Diego St. was the last team out this year, then have them play Arizona, or Wisconsin(one of those 2 was the last team in). That would create more interest than this game tonight. The winner tonight is just going to lose its next game so whats the point. Make it a game where the winner at least has a chance of winning again...
Maybe these thoughts have been posted before by someone and I missed it, but if not I am curious what others think about this.

agree...
basically it's a chance to get two unknowns to play on a Tuesday night "in the dance" before it really starts (captive audience). (ESPN started it) cheap way to earn a buck - don't have to pay big money to the little school's that play in this
