Exclamation Purdue F Kelsey Barlow suspended.....

Purdue's Barlow suspended for NCAA tournament | jconline.com | Journal and Courier

Found out through a family member close to the team. This is a defensive blow for Purdue....Kelsey was a bench player that was more known for his ability to create turnovers and aggressively rebound. Barlow averaged 19 minutes, 5 points, and 2 rebounds per game.

Cap... maybe you should elaborate on the "defensive blow"...

I mean I think I could get 2 boards a game...

sorry, that's just what comes to mind when I saw those stats... I know stats don't always tell the story...

His stats don't show his value he is more of an "energy player".

Kelsey plays a very "in your face" style of defense....thus he picks up a lot of the hand check fouls. He has very aggressive hands and takes plenty of swipes, thus disrupting the flow of a lot of point guards. He will take anyone to the rim and contend for the block. He may not have the defensive stats to show anything spectacular but trust me, as a Purdue fan and follower, Barlow's defensive presence will be missed once Painter has to get into his bench.

Ran, be careful with the word "blow" and players from Purdue. Looks like Purdue is going to pull another Purdue and disappoint like me in the sack.

Purdue is a Sweet 16 team at best IMO....this coming from someone who has watched every Purdue game since he was a kid.

Correction.....the fight was a rumor.

Kelsey Barlow showed up to practice hungover and smelling of alcohol.....this isn't the first drug/alcohol related incident with Barlow.

thats what wrong with college sports. players don't even have enough money to buy mouthwash and soap/shower gel to get the hangover smell off them.
