Pretty sad, heard he tore his ACL this morning in practice again. Liked watching him play, and Purude isn't nearly the same team without him.

Horrible thing to happen to such a classy kid....I'm a Purdue grad and in depth follower of Purdue sports so this one stings. Robbie busted his ass to come back from this in order to give it one last run with the big 3. I question the doctor who released him back to full speed practice. The local news station here, WLFI, actually had live video of the practice this morning. All he did was go up for a rebound and when he came down his leg gave out....he immediately stretched his leg out and began to cry. I couldn't feel more upset for a great kid.

God bless Robbie Hummel and I hope he makes a full recovery and uses a new doctor. Purdue should still be a legitimate team and Big Ten contender. We have some very solid recruits that will make an impact this season.

Breaks my heart for Robbie. Anybody that has endured sports, competing and injuries understands. The battle back is one in itself, and one many don't attempt, its 3x as hard as getting there the first time all bottled up in a shorter period. Then to have that happen again so quickly, its crushing. God has a different plan for Robbie.
