Syracuse ML tonight
Interesting to see the lack of movement on this line and the lack of interest in this game from fellow cappers tonight. Well, as one of the lesser known SU grad's on the board, I tend to also be wary of posting with or against them due to my own bias. Nonetheless, tonight is an exception.
Say what you want about Boeheim, but he is one consistent head coach. His teams are always either in contention or ready to be in contention with the class of the Big East year in year out. In his 20 plus years of coaching, he not made the NCAA's in back-to-back years on one occasion. Anyhow, after the fiasco last year and the game last week, it would really suck to be out again this year....and the whole city knows it. The Orange need to win their next two games and at least one maybe two or three to get in. A loss tonight and forget it.
Now, sure, if this team weren't talented it would be one thing, but with 2 McDonald's AA's and Paul Harris, who was a top 10 recruit and should have been an AA, well, this team is comprised of young players that are used to winning and are definitely out to prove they belong in the dance. Whereas Seton Hall has spent its last three games playing the basement of the Big East, Syracuse has had the misfortune of playing a downright brutal schedule the last four games against G'Town, Louisville, ND, and Pitt. Plus they have Marquette to close the season. Against Louisville, they were coming off a big victory playing the hottest team in the Big East if not the nation. They fell apart late but stayed with the Cards the entire game. Against ND, well, I made good coin taking the over here knowing full well that ND matches up great against the SU zone. McAlarney was superb and SU was just outmatched by a team having a great season especially at home. The Pitt game, well they should have won, but they blew it--no doubt about it. If you look at Pitt, they had just won their first game since losing three with their leader L. Fields back in the lineup. They kind of needed to play well too; Pitt was not a good team to meet as both teams were desperate.
I'm sure this sounds like some long-winded rubbish, but the point is SU needs a win desperately, and they finally get some lower class competition. Seton Hall can win for sure, but experience tells me that Boeheim and this young group of potential NBA players (at least 2 if not 3) should be ready to put forth a strong effort tonight.
No f-ing around with points tonight, the win at -140 will suffice.
gl to all tonight
