UK basketball starts tonight in Bahamas

If you are ready to skip football and get the bball season started (like most uk fans) then u can watch UK play 4 of the next 5 nights on SEC channel. They are playing in the Bahamas. I was fortunate to go to this 4 years ago. That is all- Carry on

We are WAY better than I thought- cant imagine how helpful it is to a young team to have Reid Travis on the team- on and off the court

I have been Coleman Coliseum (its a dump)..only thing they have goign is the parkay floor.

Been to LSU(also a dump), Ky, Vandy, Tenn, Ole Piss and Starkville.

Always wanted to go to Arky

Doubt I will go to Mizzou or A&M but now that I live in NC fulltime I should make it to SCar and UGA

Vandy is nicer then you would think and it does make it easier watchig the game then on TV because you can watch the coaches fulltime. As you know Vandy has put the coaches and their benches under the baskets. Really enjoyed their coliseum. Tenn nice too

The biggest thing you will notice is exactly that.......

When those schools are down..you will see a good number of Ky fans traveling...

Right now you can't get a ticket in Tn and Auburn.

Kentucky and Duke both look outstanding at start of season with loads of talent and great coaches. Ready for the season to start to see both play as much as possible. I had the pleasure of watching Zion Williamson play for the last three years at my son's school. Hard to put into words his athleticism and speed at his weight. Freakish leaping ability combined with good speed and dribbling skills. Played point guard until 10th grade. Good work ethic. Kentucky has a stable of thoroughbreds too.....Let's go!!!!

I actually missed their games in CANADA, but I heard the big three did all the scoring and had the ball the most. If you watched UK in the Bahamas, it looks like the could have any of 10 kids be the leading scorer in any game. The key might be Reid Travis (from Stanford) His experience off the court might be the key to settling these youngsters down and teaching them. We have so many different looks we can throw at people. We can be monster in the land with Reid, PJ and Richards....prob not a bigger inside combo in the country, and not just talking height. The guards can go big and are quick as hell. I would say that we have 4 guards that are as good as anyone in the country talent wise. DUKE AND UK play the first game of the season, but I cant wait to see how well these youngsters, from both teams, are at the end of the season. Im going out on a limb and say that between those two teams there will be 9-10 draft pics

Tell me about Zions character? U were around him more than anyone on here. Pretty good kid? Cocky or confident?

OK- hours before the DUKE game I will tell you that at the beginning of the season I hate this team. NOOOO I dont really hate them. I hate the fact that we are a strong 10 deep and those 7-10 guys are gonna want to shoot and score. The prob with that is its taking the ball out of some go to guys, which really we dont have. Think about all the other years we have had depth, but we had 2-3 guys that took 70% of the shots and they were the go to guys. I dont know of one go to guy on this team. Ive just never seen Cal with this type of situation before. I was going to go thru each player and tell u everything about each player and what is prob going thru their mind but im gonna drink instead-GO BLUE

I just saw your question on Zion Williamson's character. He is a great young man. He was never cocky or arrogant at the school. He would always take pictures with kids or adults when asked. I walked my child in every morning and he usually was walking him little brother in with us every day. He and I talked often and he is very intelligent and grounded. His mother has done a good job with him. As far as his athletic ability it is freakish. I have never seen anyone this big be able to jump so high and be so quick.

I was surprised at the outcome of the game tonight. I am not a Duke fan but I do hope Zion does well being a grad of my son's school. Duke looked solid tonight but UK did not play well. They will be back. This may be a good thing for Calipari to use to make the team better for March when it really matters. Everybody has "bad" games from time to time. UK has loads of talent and will rebound from this lose and be a better team. Good luck to you and your Cats this season.
