Very Perplexing Line??????

Diehard Michigan Wolverine fan here, and they are off to a solid start. Just played a tough game at Indiana the other night losing by two, and have two home wins against Minnesota and Penn State to start the Big Ten.

Wisconsin has started out the Big Ten with home losses to Iowa and Michigan State, and hasn't looked all that great. Trouble putting the ball in the basket at times, and today they play at Michigan.

Fully expected the line to be Michigan -3 or 4, usually pretty good at guessing the number. Came out of my alcoholic coma after watching my Lions get beat last night and see Wisconsin -1?????

What am I missing here? Was I just being a homer expecting Michigan to be favored?

I will bite, have to take the Wolverines today to get it done at home.

Michigan +1

I think that Wisc is favored here because they have beat Mich something like 10 in a row I believe. But it's a new year and Mich is yet to lose at home although they haven't had a tough match-up at home this year. Line screams Wisc to me after loosing two in a row at home and being favored over a ranked team on the road (not to mention #16 Mich #18 Wisc), but probably a no play for me, good luck with yours.

Still not sure how good U-M really is yet. I'll admit, Wisky hasn't looked too good. Probably a no play for me.

I realiz Michigan hasn't really proven that they are a good team get, but neither has Wisconsin. Guess I just thought on ranking and recent results that the perception would make Michigan a couple point favorite.

Line now up to Wisconsin -2 so I may be on the wrong side, we shall see shortly.

Go Blue!

I also assumed Michigan would a short fav at home v Wisky. Tough to peg if the books like Wisky or hate Michigan. I'm sure people who follow the power ratings would have a better grasp of the line but yes to me it seems books want Michigan action.

PEACE

Yeah they are really struggling offensively, which is why I was so surprised that they would be favored on the road at what I think is a much better team.

Wisconsin always plays the grind it out low scoring style, but they just can't score points right now. I can't stand Bo Ryan, but he is a heck of a coach.

Still confused on that one, didn't expect a blow out but will take it on my end!

Going to add one more today, taking Minnesota -2 at home against Purdue. Purdue struggled their last time out losing big at Penn State, and Minnesota is a solid team at home. Think they cover this very small number.

^^ Agree with Ryan, only time he gets excited is when theres a call that doesnt go his way it appears. Only time Wiscy will "semi" push the ball is when they are down 15pts with 2mins left. Thats a hard conference to watch when you like ACC Hoops. Good call on Mich..Go Mass 2nd half please lil baby Jesus
