Virginia Tech doesn't deserve a berth, here is why...

Not sure why the analysts weren't talking about VT's bubble bursting today. Too be honest, they might be one of the worst 23-8 teams I've seen come from a bigger conference. Look at their non conference schedule. Who the hell did they play?

Non Conference opponents with the likes of Brown, UNC Greensboro, Campbell, Delaware, Iowa, Virginia Military, Charleston Southern, Penn State, UMBC, Longwood, and North Carolina Central.

Their only "key" non conference game seems to be against Temple and Seton Hall. They lost to Temple by 11 and beat Seton Hall in Overtime. In conference play, they lost to North Carolina by 12 @ UNC, then turned around and only beat them by 4 at home. They lost to Boston College by 20.

Their SOS is 132 and are 3-4 against the RPI top 50 opponents they have played. Nine of their victories are against teams with RPI rankings 200 or worse.

I just think there are more deserving teams than VT this year and if they get in, I think it'll be a very early exit.

If Minnesota beats Michigan State tonight, I think the Gophers deserve more of a shot than Virginia Tech. Minnesota's SOS is 58 I believe.

I agreed with Bisket a few days go pointing out this same information. Wichita St was off the bubble a while ago with probably similar numbers, a nice record with hardly any quality wins.

most years i might agree - but with all the bubble teams doing nothing but lose over the last couple weeks, gonna be hard to make the argument that alot of them deserve in over virginia tech.

all these teams are terrible

lunardi's first 4 out

* Arizona State
* Memphis
* Rhode Island
* Seton Hall

make the argument that any of those 4 teams deserves in over virginia tech lol

New coach needed? They play their way out....not NCAA's fault.
