Weber vs Miami Ohio

1 unit: 0-0
2 unit: 0-1 (-2.20)
3 unit: 1-0 (+3.00)

total: 1-1 (+.80)

Weber St vs Miami Ohio -12 (1)

Weber St (16-14) last year and 10-3 in the Big Sky Conference. Problem is coach returns only 4 letter winners and two starters for that team. Who's knows for sure how good the newcomers will be. They have some transfers along with some frosh battling for open spots and playing time.

Miami Ohio is a team I'm a little more familiar with due to territory. I have to admit I haven't seen Weber St play in about 4 or 5 years. You just don't see teams like that in this area very often. I do know Miami is a very veteran team returning 11 players with experience and 7 of them started games last year. Bramos averaged 16.3 last year. He played some ball in Greece (10) games to be exact and averaged 25 ppg. Anyway, very experienced team who played a much tougher schedule than their opponent. I didn't recognize to many top tier teams on the Weber schedule last year. Meanwhile Miami played teams like Xavier (59-57 W), USC (57-53 L), Miss ST (67-60 W), Louisville (47-40 L), Illinois (61-58 W OT), Kansas (78-54 L), so you see that is impressive in my book. Miami played out in Cal last year to start the season and held there own.

The only thing stopping me from making this a 2 unit play is the slow down patient offense Miami Ohio has played in the past. Just to dam disciplined to expect them to win games by really larger spreads. they have the type of team that can keep games close. So only going to bet 1 unit on them just in case they try to rest players for most likely UCLA the next night.

Miami rpi 73 and sos 54 9 (last year)
Weber rpi 193 and sos 276 (last year)

Good luck my friends,

comments and info always welcome

especially the last part. mia-oh style of play makes me scared to play them with DD spreads. will have to think about this more before tomorrow night but you are on the right path!!!
