Why is Oregon a 10 point favorite

Look, I know Oregon St is on a 17 game losing streak. But it's a rivalry game, Oregan isn't that great. I want to take Oregon, but am really struggling on figuing out why the spread is so high

Because Ore St. consistently gets blown out at home by 15-20 every game and they are 0-15 in the conf. Its a tough call.

they have lost their last 4 ats and 3 of the 4 have been double digit spreads.
the game w/ucla was 27 1/2. this team hasnt scored 60 points in their last 5 games. ore shoots 15% better than state from the field and from from the 3 pt line. i know usually with rivalry games you can throw all of this out the window, but state is just a pitiful team.

My opinion on the game is that I am taking Oregon -10. Yes it is a rivarly game this Oregon St seems to be very unmotivated when they get behind. They are not defending on defense letting teams shoot 50% from 2pt range and 44% from 3pt range over their last 5 games. Oregon on the other hand is shooting 48% from 2pt range and 45% from 3 point range. I don't think that this game is close but my bigger play of the night is Oregon -6!

Just my insights! Good luck on what you decided.

I'd be careful on this one... line opened at 11 (which, like Morris, I agree is not too high)... JQP is all over Ore, but the line is down to 10???

Either a trap, or the squares are on Ore, and the big pops are going on OSU

A good one to lay off, IMO

gl to all

Oregon beat Oregon St at home on Feb. 2 by 16 points (79-63) and now they go to Oregon St. Given home court advantage is 4 points, the line is about right.
