Will Butler be in for a let down?

I'm tempted to take Butler ML at -125 right now. I just hope that making it to the final four for them 6 miles from campus doesn't get to their head. They are definately a surprise to make it to the final 4 and I hope they don't muck the game up. I also hate to go against Izzo's spartys cause he knows how to win games like these. I'm hoping Butler can come through on sheer emotion in front of their home crowd and make it to the championship game. Thoughts on this?????

good point romanowski.

I still see Butler advancing and playing duke in the championship. I think TV ratings sell and this is what most people will want to see in the championship game

MSU would induce a considerably higher rating than Butler, at least casual fans are familiar with Izzo

they are due for a letdown, just as northern iowa was after beating kansas. having the final 4 in your town, that comes with all of the distractions of family and friends, not to mention everyone in all of your classes telling you how great you are...there is definitely added pressure

leave it to you to spin what is essentially a home game in the Final Four as a negative. Don't recall that being said last year when Michigan State was playing in Detroit.

If Butler loses it will be because they lost to a better team. Not because of an emotional let-down brought about by playing at home.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

actually i thought it worked against msu last year as well. you're kidding yourself if you dont think there is an emotional letdown lol.

you're probably right tho, probably no distractions at all. this will be just like a regular season game against loyola

well, since they won all of those (25 in a row, but who's counting), they should be all set.

This team is "THAT" good. You are just too stubborn to admit it. Instead you mock. That's OK.

no they put themselves in this position by beating the supposedly better teams thus getting rewarded by playing a team like mich st (although st is hot right now too). If the lower seed teams beat either duke or wva then you'll have the same situation on other side. Sooner or later this team's gotta lose tho then you can say you knew it all along..

no before tip they were in advantageous positions and took advantage of them. we'll see if they win, they are playing at home...so no excuses now right?

If any team has had a "lucky" road to get to this point in this matchup it is Michigan State. The highest seed they have played is Maryland as a 4. Getting Northern Iowa and Tennessee was very fortunate.

Butler has proven a lot more in this torunament in my opinion, beating a #1 and a #2.
